Founded by creative lab Anonymous in 2010, A Design Film Festival (DFF) returns to Singapore for its 8th run. As Asia’s first film festival on design and its subcultures, the festival has travelled to more than 10 cities worldwide.

DFF returns to Capitol Theatre

Held at the iconic Capitol Theatre, DFFSG2019 is conveniently located at the junction of North Bridge Road and Stamford Road, a stone’s throw from City Hall MRT Station.

The 88-year-old neoclassical landmark seats 977 and currently reigns as the biggest single-screen cinema in Southeast Asia.

How do I collect my tickets?

It’s simple. We’ll send you a confirmation email after your order is complete. Check your spam folder if you don’t receive it.

All you need to do is head to our Front of House counter during the festival, flash the email (printed or on your mobile phone), and tell us the First Name indicated on your order. You will receive all the tickets you’ve booked.

Remember, all screenings are free-seating only so come down early to get the best seats. We recommend collecting your tickets at least 30 minutes before showtime.

When’s the latest I can buy tickets?

Online ticket sales close 12 hours before each screening. Any remaining tickets can be purchased at the door (cash only!) during the festival.

Why is there a booking fee?

There is a 7% booking fee, which covers the cost of credit card transaction fees. As such, there are no booking fees for tickets purchased at the door.

Do you have discounted tickets for bulk orders?

Yes, we do! Please contact us if you are purchasing 20 tickets or more.

Can I get an exchange or refund for my ticket(s)?

Yes. Exchanges and cancellations are accepted up to 48 hours before each screening starts. Exchanges are $2.50/ticket and will be processed within 1 working day from receipt of payment. Cancellations are $5/ticket; partial cancellations of an order will not be entertained. All refunds will be processed within 5 to 10 business days.

Oh no! The screening I want to attend is sold out.

Don’t worry, you still stand a chance to attend your desired screening! Our Rush System functions as a stand-by line and forms 30 minutes before showtime. Empty seats will be counted approximately 10 minutes before the scheduled showtime, and Rush Tickets will be sold on a first-come, first-served basis to those in line.

Rush Tickets are priced the same as regular tickets, and are limited to two tickets/person.
