Beautiful Losers

This documentary follows the lives and careers of a group of like-minded outsiders who found common ground at a little NYC storefront gallery. These artists drew inspiration from the do-it-yourself spirit of skateboarding, surf, punk, hip hop and graffiti subcultures and made art that inadvertently affected the art world. Beautiful Losers tells the stories of artists like Shepard Fairey, Harmony Korine, Stephen Powers, Geoff McFetridge, exploring what happens when the outside becomes ‘in’.
